Elton John vs. Pnau - Good Morning To The Night
Monday, July 30, 2012 This is one of those once-a-year remixes that qualifies for a Tnoise post. You don't even need to be an Elton John fan to appreciate this new album Good Morning To The Night from the Australian dance duo Pnau (half of which is Luke Steele from Empire of the Sun). Elton took them under his wing five years ago and it's with his blessing that they've "reimagined his early 70s output by splicing together snippets of songs to create something wholly new and oddly affecting."
Elton John vs. Pnau - "Phoenix"
"Phoenix" includes elements from John's "Grey Seal", "Are You Ready for Love", "Bennie and the Jets", "Someone Saved My Life Tonight", "Where to Now St Peter?", "Love Lies Bleeding", "Border Song", "Country Love Song", and "Three Way Love Affair".
